Pav Bhaji Recipe

Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji is a popular Indian street food that consists of a spicy vegetable curry (bhaji) served with soft bread rolls (pav).

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (potatoes, peas, carrots, capsicum)
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

  1. Boil and mash the mixed vegetables.
  2. In a pan, heat butter and add cumin seeds.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, pav bhaji masala, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add the mashed vegetables and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Toast the pav with butter.
  8. Serve the bhaji with pav and lemon wedges.
